Hispanic Heritage
Month
Internal Employee Campaign (2023)
Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. As the lead designer on this campaign, I worked with the Latinos at VMware POD and various DEI stakeholders to develop a compelling illustration to be used across multiple internal and external assets.

Process
First, we had an initial discovery call with relevant stakeholders. I developed a mood board in Miro to plan a direction and put ideas onto paper. Working with the Design Director, we wanted to come up with an encompassing design that showcased the culture and achievements of the Hispanic/Latino community. We wanted to focus on ways to push the boundaries of the VMware color palette to align with Hispanic/Latino culture and VMware’s iconography to tie the story together.
