Holiday Card Video
Each year, VMware produces an animated holiday card that gets translated into a dozen languages and distributed internally and externally via email. As the designer on this project, I worked with the video director to develop a hero image and illustrations for the card. In 2022, the theme was Pass it Forward. The hero image was also used in a variety of assets to promote the holiday season and used in the end-of-quarter All Hands meeting.

Process
After many brainstorming and collaboration sessions, we decided on the theme of Pass it Forward. As a potluck-style theme, it was meant to be inclusive of different cultures and the various foods they use to celebrate the holidays. The hero concept included people from all different walks of life sitting down to enjoy a celebratory meal. I also illustrated each food item and then joined forces with the video producer to storyboard the concept and then handed it off it him to bring it to life.
